Me, But Make It Thriving
In this episode, I’m opening up about where I’ve been, why I paused the podcast, and what I’ve learned through a season of change, grief, and growth.
Coming back to The Mariah Effect feels like both a homecoming and a fresh beginning. Over the past several months, I’ve faced some big life transitions that challenged my identity, my energy, and my sense of direction. But through it all, I’ve come to see how grief is not something you get over. It is something you learn to move with.
I talk about the pressure to make the right decisions. I’ve learned that failing or changing direction does not mean you are doing life wrong. It might mean you are finally listening to what you actually need. Self care became more than a buzzword for me. It became essential. And having the right support system around me reminded me that we are not meant to do this alone.
If there is one thing this season has taught me, it is that change is inevitable and often the very thing that opens us up to new possibilities. I’m learning to put my own needs first, to trust my voice, and to embrace the messy journey of growth. If you are in the midst of your own transition, know this: you are not alone. This episode is an honest reflection on what it means to keep showing up for yourself, even when the path forward is not clear.
I’m so grateful that you’re here here with me. I hope this conversation gives you permission to feel what you need to feel and the courage to keep moving forward, whatever that looks like for you.
